Welcome, I am Amalia Martin,
the one behind the lens.

I've always loved photography and the way it captures life. Initially I went to school and got a bachelors in geography, followed by a masters in city and regional planning. With encouragement from my husband (and a promise to make back what I spent) I bought my first "nice" camera in 2017 and started taking photos. I fell in love.

I believe that capturing the emotion of the moment, the candid smiles - "documenting" your life, doesn't have to exclude taking portraits as well. When I look at my favorite photos, some are candid and some are posed - and I don't believe those 2 styles need to be pitted against each other. In family and wedding I strive to find the balance you desire between the two.

I am laid back, but stick to the schedule. I know what you want out of your photos (because we'll talk ahead of time) but I also take the most pride out of getting you to genuinely smile and enjoy yourselves. The best compliments (aside from seeing my photos printed on your walls) is when I hear people say "wow, I actually just had fun!"
